Rocal D7: The Wall-Mounted Woodburner with Designer Impact

Striking, slim, and efficient—the Rocal D7 woodburner floats on the wall like sculpture while delivering 7.5kW of heat. A bold choice for homeowners who want their stove to transform the room as much as it warms it.

A Statement Piece for Modern Living

The Rocal D7 is a wall-mounted woodburner that delivers both heat and high design. With its slim profile, curved circular steel body, and round viewing glass, it looks more like a piece of sculptural art than a conventional stove. Designed to complement modern interiors, it becomes part of the architecture, floating cleanly on the wall while filling the room with firelight.

Practical Handling

In keeping with its clean, minimalist look, the D7 is operated using a detachable handle and tool. This practical system allows the fire to be managed safely while keeping the exterior lines uncluttered. It’s a simple yet effective solution that reflects the balance of form and function that defines Rocal’s design approach.

This same tool can be used to remove the ashpan once the door is open, by inserting the hook into the hole and pulling forward. See what we mean in this stove spotlight video that we recently filmed while visited the Rocal factory in Catalunya, Spain:

Installation Made Easy

The D7 is designed to be wall-mounted, so there’s no need for a constructional hearth or plinth in many cases. It’s also compatible with an external air supply, making it an ideal choice for modern, airtight homes. The controls are simple and accessible, two silver air sliders are located on the back, right hand side of the stove, keeping the look seamless.

If you can’t wall mount the D7 then consider the optional pedestal foot that allows this stove to freestand, giving it an all-together different look.

Built for Performance

Looks aside, the D7 is built to perform. With a 7.5kW nominal output and a range between 5–9kW, it’s well-suited for medium to large living spaces. Its 83% efficiency rating ensures that the impressive flame display translates into efficient heating. The stove is fitted with a 180mm flue outlet, providing the solid draw and reliability expected from a premium woodburner.

Key Specifications:

  • Nominal Output: 7.5kW
  • Output Range: 5–9kW
  • Efficiency: 83%
  • Flue Outlet: 180mm
  • Included Flue Spigot: 2m (extendable or cut down)
  • Handle: Detachable, with operating tool
  • Design: Wall-mounted or Freestanding with optional pedestal foot

Designed with Installation in Mind

A practical detail that sets the D7 apart is its 180mm diameter, 2-metre long flue spigot that bolts directly to the top of the stove and is supplied as standard. This length gives installers plenty of flexibility, and the spigot can be cut down to suit lower ceiling heights and additional lengths/bends are available if required. It means the D7 adapts easily to different rooms and layouts, all while maintaining its signature seamless wall-mounted style.

For example, if you wish to place the Rocal D7 onto an external wall and do not want the pipe to run up through the ceiling and into a room above. It is possible to have the pipe modified at the factory to have a rear exit at a height of your preference. This allows the flue gases to rise up and go out through the rear wall and connect into either an external chimney stack, or an insulated twinwall pipe, while keeping the aesthetic look of the pipe rising up vertically to the ceiling.

Why Choose the Rocal D7?

For homeowners looking to combine architectural style with dependable performance, the D7 offers both in equal measure. Its adaptable installation, strong heat output, and striking presence make it a stove that doesn’t just heat the room—it transforms it. It is as much a piece of design as it is a heating solution. Its slim form and bold presence suit modern homes perfectly, while its performance ensures it’s more than just decoration.
