Rocal D10: Floating Style with Substance

Create a floating focal point with the Rocal D10. This floating stove adds atmosphere and elegance to contemporary living spaces.

When Design Lifts Off

At Woodburner Insights, we love designs that elevate the everyday—literally. The Rocal D10 is a wall-mounted woodburner that almost appears to float mid-air, merging sharp modern lines with impressive performance. Its sleek, trapezium-shaped body features a gently sloping glass front, flanked by angled side windows that provide a panoramic view of the flames. More than just a heat source, it’s a sculptural statement piece for modern interiors.

Floating Presence, Solid Power

The D10’s floating design makes a bold architectural statement while freeing up valuable floor space—ideal for minimalist or design-led living rooms. But behind its striking looks lies serious performance. With a 11.3kW nominal output and an efficiency rating of 78.3%, it delivers dependable warmth without compromise. Fully ECO-design 2022 compliant, it also keeps emissions impressively low.

Customisation and Versatility

Flexibility is built into the D10’s design. If wall mounting isn’t suitable, an optional pedestal foot allows for freestanding installation. There’s also a decorative square casing that extends from the stove to the ceiling, echoing its clean lines. This casing can be shortened, extended, or adapted to suit different chimney configurations and room styles.

Unique Door Configuration and Air Control

One of the standout features of the Rocal D10 is its side-door system. Instead of a traditional front-opening door, the D10 has counterweighted side doors that open smoothly, almost like gull-wing car doors, using silicone cool-touch handles. They close gently thanks to spring assistance, making refuelling both safe and stylish. The front glass remains fixed in daily use but can be opened for cleaning and servicing.

For fine-tuned combustion, two air controls are discreetly located on the back right-hand corner, giving you control over both primary and secondary air. And for airtight or low-energy homes, it can be connected via the external air inlet which allows the stove to draw all of its combustion air directly from outdoors—often eliminating the need for an additional room ventilation.

The Architectural Choice

For anyone wanting a stove that doubles as a modern centrepiece, the Rocal D10 ticks every box. With its floating design, high efficiency, and flexible installation options, it’s as practical as it is beautiful—a stove that truly blends style with substance.
